Join ADHA

Membership in ADHA and ASDHA is voluntary, but essential for the protection and professional development of the dental hygienist. Why join ASDHA and ADHA? The simple answer is that being a member of a professional association is what professionals usually do. Join us and add your name to the rich history and tradition of hygienists who have since 1953 developed, protected and expanded dental hygiene in Arizona. Your membership will strengthen our efforts to protect your scope of practice from unlicensed individuals performing scaling, and other efforts to diminish the role of dental hygienists. You will also be supporting our efforts to maintain educational standards. We have fun together as we protect and advance our profession! We need your ideas and perspectives on issues, your enthusiasm, and your support for other hygienists.

When you join the American Dental Hygienists’ Association, it automatically includes membership in your state (constituent) and local (component) associations. We have a locater map that will help you find the component that serves your geographic area. Additionally, you are entitled to enter the ASDHA Members Only area of this website and join the ASDHA Members e-mail list. Upon receipt of your ADHA membership number, you may register for the ASDHA Members Only area of the website.

For more information on becoming a member of the ADHA or the ASDHA, contact our Membership Chair.

Council on Membership MaryJo Le Blanc, RDH asdhacom@asdha.org
The primary objective of the COM is to create a need and desire for dental hygienists to belong to their professional association and to provide services to the members.
